Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help children enjoy their learning by offering them more motivating educational resources. I would love it if they could develop their sensory part through these resources and this material.

We have to think that children spend most of their hours at school and we have to offer them spaces that satisfy all their needs and help them grow in all their senses.

The material that I have chosen will help to provide the day-to-day resources for the child, to be able to prepare a material that is suitable, and that the child is interested in to develop their activities.

And I have also chosen the light table because I consider it has the following benefits for my students:

- Increases children's curiosity.

- The brightness of the translucent materials on the light table favors attention and concentration in activities.

- You can do many activities on very different topics such as literacy, science, mathematics... which, being full of color and manipulation, reach a new dimension.

- Promotes free play and imagination.

- The sensory stimulation that occurs on the light table reaches multiple levels as experimentation occurs in many different ways. If, for example, the child is manipulating a "mushy" mass of colors that is translucent when observed on the light table, the activity that would have been only manipulative is exalted by the brilliance offered by the light.

- Relaxation and enjoyment. The light table offers activities in which the visual enjoyment is great and that causes us to relax and enjoy the activity we are doing.....

To finish with the idea of my project, I would like to say that I love that the child is the protagonist of their learning and can have the ability to create their own learning moved by their curiosity, motivation and imagination.
