Teacher professional development. I need training in the SPARK PE program. I am requesting help with gas and parking, SPARK digital content and an iPad to access the digital content. <profdevpilot>

it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Every day I teach physical education to my transitional kindergarten students. I would love to provide them with a physical education program that is developmentally appropriate, improves fitness and overall health, and encourages collaboration and cooperation.
I have been teaching for more than 25 years.
Most of this time I have spent with the younger grades, including first grade, kindergarten, and now our state's newest grade level, transitional kindergarten. I find working with young children very rewarding.
Although I have been teaching for some time, I strongly believe that a good teacher constantly works on improving the skills needed to best serve her students. Each year I try to take some sort of professional development course to learn the newest techniques and research on what makes for a successful learning environment for my students. Recently, my school district began an initiative to promote physical education at the elementary school level. I found out about the SPARK physical fitness program a few years ago but never had the chance to take the training due to the expense. It is a PE program designed to prevent obesity and promote health and fitness in a way that is developmentally appropriate for young children.
My Project
I am very fortunate and excited that the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation funded the tuition and hotel for me to attend a training for the SPARK PE program. I am now asking for help with the travel costs to attend the training, specifically parking fees and gasoline. I am also asking for help funding the SPARK Digital content and an iPad to take with me to the training. We are required to bring a tablet to the training to access the digital content. This content includes music, videos and the SPARK curriculum and lesson plans. Having a tablet will enhance my training because I will learn how to utilize the digital content first hand from the trainers. The tablet will continue to be essential as I plan and implement my new PE program with my students.
