Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
At our Title I school, where many students face economic and social challenges, we are looking for ways to constantly inspire confidence and provide opportunities for growth and development. Our 3rd to 5th grade cheerleaders are a talented group of young girls who pour their hearts into every practice and performance. Through this project, we hope to provide our cheerleaders with stunting equipment, bow ties, inflatable noisemakers, and cheer drawstring backpacks for their uniforms. These items seem simple, but they are tools that will teach life skills, foster a sense of pride, and help build self-confidence and teamwork. For many of our girls, this team is more than just an after-school activity; it's a chance to feel valued, build confidence, and reminding them they are capable of achieving great things despite their challenges. By donating, you're giving them the tools to succeed in life and the belief that they are worth investing in.
