My Project

My name is Mr. Barry, and I am a Building Learn Associate (BLA) at AESM. I am reaching out to Donor's Choose on behalf of myself and my fellow co-workers: Mr. Gayden, Mr. McCreary, Ms. Mitchell and the entire AESM Family. Due to the generosity of your organizations and many others, our class motto, "Lifting As We Climb" fits along with what you are accomplishing daily.

In our classroom at AESM, we are working with ten to fourteen students with IEP's that come from a diverse population; students with learning, financial, mental, emotional/psychological, social, interpersonal, gender, semantic, geographic, technical, and even culture barriers.

Listed below are some supplies that we feel will provide a positive start to the end of this 2024 school year and possible the upcoming 2024 Fall school year for these sixth to eighth graders. We are seeking your assistance with the following items: Crayola Markers, Noise Cancellation Headsets, backpacks and iPad Fast Chargers. Crayola markers will allow our students to enhance their writing since they already have a white board desk. Secondly, the Noise Cancellation Headsets will provide peace and comfort to our students since they have attention deficient disorders. The headsets can also be used with their iPads to assist with text to speech apps and provide clarity for those who are autistic or dyslexic. Finally, the backpack and iPad Fast Chargers will allow the students to keep their iPad, phones and other devices charged up since this is an issue they experience while at home. They can charge their devices on the way to school or in the classroom which makes their transition to learning an easier transition. Thank you in advance Donor's Choose for considering us.
