My Project
I work with Special Ed children that are in classrooms but struggle with their academics. Reading is the most essential skill that everyone must learn as a life skill.
I want to put books in my student’s hands that are on their level so it will help them be successful.
This will encourage them to be successful and continue being a lifelong reader. I need a variety of books so they can continue this for the whole school year! I work with children that have difficulty reading and some think they will never learn to read. I want to help them learn to read at their beginning level and then progress into higher levels as they acquire the skills and knowledge of vocabulary. I love to read and I want to help my children develop a love for reading, also. I know with the variety of books, they will find that reading is fun and will take them to new and exciting places in the stories. Many of my children do not have books in their home that is leveled for them to be able to read successfully. Putting a book in their hands and on their level with entice a lifetime of reading.
