I need funding for professional development opportunities to deepen my knowledge about the “science of reading” and teaching English language learners.
I would like to take these self-paced online university courses to gain a deeper knowledge about the “science of reading” as well as teaching English language learners. The Science of Reading course will help me get a better understanding on how to help preschool students gain pre-literacy skills. Pre-literacy skills are essential for cultivating a strong foundation for reading. I would also like to take the teaching strategies for ELL course because I have many English language learners in my classroom. Taking these courses will allow me to become a more knowledgeable teacher!
