it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
What I love most about my students is the drive they continuously use to push themselves through these pandemic times. It amazes me to see students help each other complete homework during their lunch because most of them live in shelters which means they do not have access to WiFi.
These students live in the South Bronx and often times go come to school hungry, sleep-deprived, and with a dead computer because there are not enough chargers to go around.
My Project
WiFi is not accessible in every home for these students. Many of them live with other family or in homeless shelters. These same students are expected to complete all assignments no matter their living situation. A lot of them are worried and scared because they are turning in incomplete homework assignments with no hopes of completion resulting in poor grades. Printing allows these students the same opportunity to compete with their counterparts who have WiFi at home
