My Project
Life skills students will inventory and restock a "Take What You Need" wall. Life Skills students will use donated supplies to fill a display so any student can take needed supplies. This will be a year-round job. This is an in-building job that students use to build work skills.
Learning to take inventory and restocking supplies are skills that Life Skills Students will be able to use in many jobs through out their lives. Examples of items in this job that will be inventoried and restocked are number 2 pencils, ink pens, paper, erasers, deodorant, highlighters, bookmarks, and other items to help all high school students have a successful day.
Our goal is that students will build work skills by working in a highly supervised setting that can later transition to an off-campus job. Life Skill students will leave High School with work experience.
This classroom project was brought to life by Alaska Department of Education & Early Development.
