Life Skills Sensory

Help me give my students different centers, fine motor skills, and fidgets. While learning how to be independent! Please help me meet my students' needs!

My Project

Every day in Life Skills looks a little different. My room has different needs from reading, learning to add and subtract, to learning letter sounds and letter names or counting 1-5.

Fine motor, sensory, centers, and social skills are needed to help my room run smoothly.

Things such as headphones help block out the sound of students who can become overwhelmed. Having sensory tables to have centers made fun. Lights that can help calm them with some sensory toys. Chewy necklace to help students handle sensory needs without biting or meet the needs of my students through games, songs with puppets, or fidgets for CVC words. The Bob books will help build the confidence to read their sight words while decoding CVC words.

The flexible seating helps my students be able to attend to tasks while getting their wiggles and sensory needs out. The Lakeshore cubbies will help me create independent task boxes so that my students can learn how to follow a schedule and complete a task on their own. After they can learn to clean up and put it back where it belongs.

My students and I would be so thankful for everything given and it would benefit my current students and all of my future students! All of these supplies will be shared with the other life skills room to help those students as well.
