Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We are a unique Special Education Life Skills Class that consists of students with severe disabilities. Our students are all wheelchair bound with multiple disabilities. Their disabilities are physically, medically, and cognitive. All students are nonverbal with limited communication. They also have limited use of limbs.
Our students come in everyday eager to make connections and to form bonds.
The resources requested will continue to encourage the love of learning. The resources will also give the students hands-on experiences. The resources will also encourage independence and increase socialization skills, at the same fostering a positive social emotional environment.
