Life Skills Laundry Station: Teaching Independence in Special Education

it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our special education students shine with unique abilities and determination. These washer and dryer units will transform our classroom into a real-world learning lab, where students master essential life skills through hands-on experience. Our goal is to empower each student with practical laundry skills they'll use throughout their lives - from sorting and measuring detergent to folding and organizing clothes. By practicing these skills in a supportive classroom environment, our students will build confidence and independence, preparing them for more autonomous living.
Every successful load of laundry represents a step toward self-sufficiency.
