it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My exceptional students come from wide range on the Autism spectrum and intellectual disabled. They are always eager to come to school and learn on a daily basis. They depend so much on visual and hands on activities that they can manipulate during a lesson. Also, they are always wanting to stay involved on campus and help others in need. The majority of my students are low-income families who struggle to make ends meet and provide time at home to enhance their learning.
My Project
These supplies will have an immediate impact on our special needs students. Our goal as a class is to maintain cleanliness and maintain proper hygiene on a daily basis. Yet, we struggle to acquire those special supplies to help our students. Most of our families that are in our classroom are low-income and struggle to provide the supplies their own child needs.Items like combs and tooth brushes help provide personal hygiene daily. Also, pull-ups, wipes and gloves are expensive to maintain for school and home. This donation will give parents a break from the expenses that each day brings. Making sure our room demonstrates cleanliness items such as disinfecting wipes and washing hands consistently is an effective way to prepare them for the future when they are tendering to their own needs. We will be setting the example of all the life skills needed to maintain a healthy lifestyle for our students.
