This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are creative, inquisitive, and full of life! They each have amazing personalities and show great interest in learning every day. I am the Life Skills teacher and my students have special needs that require a little extra help to make them shine bright. Although they face a variety of challenges, they continue to come back to school smiling and eager to learn.
It is my pleasure to serve my students and give them the tools needed to be successful.
My school is Title I, meaning families cannot always support the school or the teachers as much as they want to. My students have challenges that they face, both at home and at school and I want my students to know that I will do everything in my power to help them achieve their goals.
My students are special in many ways, and I know that with your help they will be able to overcome the challenges they face in order to reach for the stars and achieve their goals!
My Project
My students have high sensory and educational needs that require consistency, organization, and an environment where they can thrive. With the sensory toys, fidgets, organizational bins, and materials, I will be able to provide such an environment. I work with students with varying abilities such as Autism, Intellectual disability, Visual impairments, speech and occupational needs. The items in this donor choose will allow my students to have sensory toys for when they’re overwhelmed, fidgets to play with after working hard, as well as help me give them an organized environment with the supplies.
With these supplies/ materials, I can make the classroom a place where the special needs of my students can be met.
