My Project
Life skills such as sorting silverware, setting the table, folding laundry, sorting laundry and stocking a shelf are essential skills for any child to learn. For special needs students it is especially important because they may not hold a typical job when grown up. They may continue living at home or in a group home where these skills will allow them participate and help out around the household. Special needs students need a lot of repetition when learning. This shelving unit will allow my students to independently follow a task list and work on the different life skills within each bin. I am very excited to be able to teach my students not only life skills but also following directions, working independently, and using a task list to complete activities.
