Life Skills and Job Training Center for Special Needs Students

Help me give my students a dramatic play center for them to practice Life Skills and Job Training.

My Students

I have the most amazing and wonderful special education severe and profound class. My students come from very low-income families. Many of my students live in government housing and the only meals they have are the free breakfast and lunch they receive at school.

My students come to school every day excited to learn reading, math, and life skills.

They are like sponges and I want to provide them with all the tools they will need to be successful.

My Project

I teach a Severe and Profound Special Needs class. I am asking for some materials that will help them practice life skills and job training skills.

I am asking for a kitchen set, food, shopping carts, a grocery/lemonade stand to be used to practice shopping and how to work at restaurants and shops.

I am asking for a cleaning set to help my students practice cleaning up after themselves and others. The workbench and tools are to help the kids practice building items and to practice putting nuts and bolts together. The tape measure is to help them practice measuring objects. The doctor, dentist, and vet centers will help teach my students to care for other people and animals. The Teacher Pay Teacher gift card will be used to purchase a dramatic play center bundle and will be used to make materials for the different centers. All the materials that are being asked for will be used multiple ways every year all year long.
