My Project
In my life skills special education class, I will integrate various items to enhance the coffee cart project, focusing on building essential skills while fostering social-emotional development. The **DaVinci Gourmet Lavender Syrup** and **Torani Coconut Syrup** will be used to teach students how to create specialty coffee drinks, allowing them to explore flavor combinations and practice customer service skills. The **Breville 54mm Dosing Funnel** and **54mm Portafilter Double Spout** will help students practice precision and attention to detail while learning how to properly use espresso equipment. The **M220 Label** and **2x3 Labels** will enable students to create personalized coffee drink labels, fostering creativity while improving their fine motor skills as they work with the printer. The **Aheaplus Bakers Rack** with power outlets and LED lights will be used as a central coffee cart station, teaching organization, space management, and teamwork as students prepare and serve drinks.
The **Laminator Machine** will allow students to laminate menus or customer feedback cards, offering an opportunity to practice technology use and boosting their confidence through successful completion of tasks.
The **Pink Scissors Pack** will be a tool for students to cut out labels, craft decorations, or create fun design elements for the cart, encouraging independence and fine motor development. Lastly, the **Multicolored Checkerboard Rug** will be placed in the coffee cart area to provide a cozy and inviting space for students to work and engage with peers, helping them feel comfortable and supported in social settings, promoting positive interactions. Each of these tools will not only teach practical life skills but also build social-emotional competence as students work together, communicate effectively, and gain confidence in their abilities.
