Life Saving Weather Stations! Know What's Going on Stay Safe!

Help me give my students the best opportunity to study the weather and the wet bulb temperatures. To keep them healthy and safe. The Kestrel 5000 stores data so our students can collect the information and analyze it.

My Project

Hand held wind and weather meters will help with the perpetually changing world of weather phenomena. Students will be able to monitor the wind speed, humidity and heat stress information. The students will be able to to collect data for weather parameters and be able to analyze it later. students will use this to learn when it is unsafe to participate in sports due to high humidity, understated the permeators of weather and how to collect and analyze data.

Students will be able to gather key environmental data to make informed decisions on preventing heat related injuries which is a key part of our Sports Medicine curriculum.

Students will get real time information to analyze and make good safe decisions.
