Learning CPR is one of the most vital skills a person can have—it can mean the difference between life and death in an emergency. These students are eager to explore the world around them but need to see the relevance of what they are learning.
At the start of each school year, I tell my students, "By the end of this year, you will have the skills to save your own life or the lives of others." Their curiosity and skepticism turn into engagement and determination as they realize they truly have the power to make a difference.
Hands-on CPR training, using tools like a torso simulator, is a transformative way to teach them these critical, life-saving skills.
I aim to equip over 125 students with the skills and confidence to perform CPR in emergencies. To do this effectively, we need CPR torso simulators and related hygiene equipment, including:
Adult and infant mannequins for hands-on practice.
Replacement lung. These tools will allow students to practice CPR in realistic scenarios, teaching them how to maintain blood flow until professional help arrives. The experience will also reinforce lessons on the human body, helping students understand the connection between body systems and emergency response.
CPR training directly connects to real-world situations and science-based learning, making it meaningful and impactful.
Active, hands-on activities increase student retention and confidence. Students gain a vital skill that can save lives in their homes, schools, and communities.
By funding this project, you are giving middle schoolers the tools and knowledge to save lives. The CPR torso simulators will transform their learning experience, helping them become prepared and capable responders in emergencies.
