Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Pre-K students learn through play. Throughout the day there is time set for the children to play in centers. Centers are created to encourage social interaction and meaningful learning experiences.
One of the most popular centers is Dramatic Play.
In the Dramatic Play Center, children act out really life situations that occur in their every day life. In our home corner, we have a kitchen set, dolls, dress up clothes and pretend food. The items that I am looking to add will build upon the pretend play of a home and baby dolls.
Children will be able to have pretend phone conversations, while using the cooking tools to make food and pour coffee. Dolls will be able to have their clothing changed on the table and the basket to carry items. These pretend situations will encourage children to communicate and use their interpersonal skills to work together!
