This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have the most amazing group of students. They are motivated to learn and are excited about school. I teach special education students who are in need of visual schedules, positive behavior charts, work folders, picture supports, and engaging lessons to be printed in color. Some of my students have visual impairments, dyslexia, and autism.

Being able to create fun lessons, games, and activities in color is very important for my students' learning.

I also meet very frequently with their parents online and need the use of a webcam to better communicate with the parents. We are also in need of some headphones for the classroom. My students earn electronic breaks for good behavior and also complete some of their lessons using computers. It would be very helpful if they had headphones with a microphone to help them utilize their accommodations of speech to text. This is very important for my reluctant writer and students with dyslexia and dysgraphia. All of the items will allow for our classroom to meet the unique needs of my students.
