Help me give my students materials designed to enhance their comprehension of ecosystems and the interactions between humans and these ecosystems through hands-on models utilizing living organisms!
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Terrariums and Aquariums are great ways for students to learn how to appreciate balanced closed environments, patience in watching the ecosystems develop and flourish, and respecting nature and small life forms.
My goal is to provide hands-on learning experience that will stir emotions within our students a great appreciation for our ecosystem, nurturing a spirit of preservation.
Witnessing the immediate effects of human engagement on these fragile systems can be a transformative experience. It is my hope that through this study, students will be inspired to seek out new ways to protect and sustain our precious environment.
My students are creative, innovative thinkers who approach learning with curiosity and enthusiasm, especially when it comes to science. They come from diverse backgrounds, including English Language Learners from various linguistic communities, Special Education students, and students from low-income families. I am committed to providing them with opportunities that they might not otherwise have access to, create an environment where every child can thrive and explore their potential.
