Life Cycles Project Based Learning

Help me give my students the necessary tools (storage bin, chick feeder, etc.) to take care of animals from birth and authentically watch the life cycle before our very own eyes.

My Project

As a project based learning school, we immerse our students in hands-on. All our projects are planned with our students in mind to give them the most authentic learning experience not only solving real life problems, but, researching all the questions they may have about what we are studying.

In 3rd grade, we study the life cycles and traits passed on from generation to generation.

For this project, all our students would get to watch various animals go through the life cycle in real time. We would use the incubator to hatch chicks and the aquarium to watch the tadpoles turn into frogs. The students would not only get to learn about life cycles, but, be responsible for taking care of them from birth to adult.

Our school is one of a kind in our district and our students get the wonderful opportunity to learn through project based learning. Thanks for helping us give our students an amazing experience!
