Life Cycles and Living Things: Growing Planet Protectors

My Project

My second graders are learning how plants and animals grow and change—and how we need them to survive. As part of our IB unit Sharing the Planet, students will explore the life cycles of living things and the important roles they play in keeping our Earth healthy.

To deepen this learning, we are asking for hands-on materials like an indoor greenhouse, seeds, and composting kits to help us grow plants, observe how living things change, and learn how to take care of our environment.

These resources will allow students to connect science and climate in a meaningful way as they explore how sunlight, water, and soil impact growth, and how composting helps reduce waste and support healthy ecosystems.
