Help me give my students visual educational support by using the magnetic wipe off board as well as all the manipulatives to enrich their learning experience.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
How to describe my students? My students are warriors and survivors! They have been "displaced" due to Covid-19, they are struggling not only academically, but on a personal level as well. Dealing with sickness, loss of family and loss of seeing friends and family. That is where education comes in! As their teacher, I try to find ways to reach out to them, because they need that connection.
My students are special needs and require a lot of hands on, visual learning.
They are eager to learn and to do well. Remote teaching has been difficult for them and I am just trying to make it easier for them!
My Project
I never imagined that I would find myself remotely teaching from home, and that my students would be learning new material through videos and google docs, and conferencing calls. We are charging forward and looking at it as a learning opportunity for all!
The whiteboard easel included in this project would serve as a tool that I can use during Google team or hangout meetings to go over material easily, and to display anchor charts during lessons.
I will also be able to use it with future classes in the classroom during small group instruction. The other materials included in this project will help me to teach visually and engage my learners.
