This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a Head Teacher, I have observed firsthand how critical early exposure to language is in a child's development. Our four preschool dual language classrooms are vibrant spaces where young minds thrive through daily immersion in both English and Spanish. However, our Spanish language book collections need significant enhancement to provide the rich, diverse reading experiences our students deserve. Each colorful story, rhyme, and picture book in Spanish not only reinforces language skills but opens windows to cultural understanding that will benefit these children throughout their lives. With your support, we can create balanced bilingual libraries where students see themselves reflected in literature and develop genuine excitement for reading in both languages.

Our young dual language learners need diverse Spanish literature to flourish in both languages.

With your generous donation, we can fill the bookshelves in four local preschool classrooms with captivating Spanish storybooks, colorful picture books, and engaging early readers that celebrate Hispanic culture and language.

These books will become the foundation for lifelong bilingual literacy, opening doors to cultural understanding and academic success. Each book you donate helps a child see themselves in stories, explore new worlds, and develop the confidence to express themselves in two languages.
