This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Fourth grade is critical when it comes to reading. Students are refining their reading skills. They are also at an age where they are able to independently make their reading selections based on personal preference.

Comfortable seating and good lighting are a must for encouraging good readers.

Our school has adequate lighting. At present, our classroom library has one backless bench. It is far from comfortable and it only seats two students. Adding bean bag chairs to the library will give students more room and options in which to read.
