Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students need comfortable seating in their classroom library. My students can independently read and discover with these materials. Each bean bag seat will provide the much-needed soothing space needed to create a welcoming library.
Students who are provided the opportunity to complete tasks, like selecting texts and reading, on their own within groups are not only working with the subject at hand but are further developing their social/emotional/cooperation skills.
Even better? They are taking charge of their own educational tasks and are more likely to become lifelong learners; the ultimate goal!
