My Project
I am asking for new books for our classroom library and for independent reading time.
Learning to read is a big part of first grade.
The students are getting so excited by their new reading skills and I want to provide more books to keep them motivated as they are working so hard on their reading skills.
We need some sets of decodable readers for our students who are at the beginning of their reading journey. Books that are enjoyable and have simple sentences and one syllable words are perfect for these readers.
The students are also very interested in reading books about their favorite athletes and music stars.
I also am requesting some graphic novels that the students are very interested in. We have worn out the Dog Man books that we had in the classroom, so we need to replenish some of our graphic novels.
