My Students
We've been very lucky in that in the last few years donors have given us many great books for our classroom library. Now, that library is in sore need of repair and maintenance. We need to tape and repair many volumes. We also need to come up with a system of labeling and organizing books.
My student love to read and are constantly using our library.
Many students have even brought books from home to donate. In each of my five language arts classes, I have a student librarian. This student is in charge of repairing, labeling, recommending and sorting books. That is a huge job. Please help these librarians carry on their work.
My Project
I am requesting many different items that will all help students use our library better. We also want an easier book recommendation system. I was thinking that students could simply put a heart post-it with a quick note into a book they loved. This would be fast and simple.
We need these classroom library materials such as different kinds of tape and markers to label and repair library books.
We have many books that are falling apart and have torn covers. Students also make signs and posters detailing genres and new books. Also, post-it notes will help students identify books he or she wants to read.
