My students need an organized place to fall in love with books! By helping us purchase several items to organize our classroom library, we will be able to maximize our learning!
My class is made up of 28 amazing, eager to learn, loving first graders!
My students come from a high poverty neighborhood, and have very little "luxuries" in their home lives. Most of my students are lucky if they have a bed to sleep in and a meal in the evenings, so things like classroom libraries are a dream come true! My students love to read and devour good books!
My Project
We will use the materials we have requested to organize our classroom library! We will use the library pockets and index cards to create a library checkout system, so that students are able to check books out and read not only in the classroom but at home as well! The labels and stickers will help us keep our library organized, by placing the level of each book on the back, and matching a color coordinated sticker to each level! This will help us put the books back in the correct bins when we are finished reading them!
