Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students are the best! We have a real family environment at our school, and we love our students as though they are our own children. We are a bilingual campus, and our students truly learn to appreciate and respect others from diverse backgrounds.

We have the privilege of working with these students everyday and getting to see the smiles on their faces and the love in their hearts.

It is our goal to provide the best education possible for our students.

My Project

This homemade Lego wall will foster creativity and problem solving among our students in the library as they build. A Lego wall is an engaging way to get students thinking and designing.

Research has shown that students learn when they create open ended projects.

By building on a Lego wall, students will be not only having fun, but they will also be experiencing important cognitive lessons.

The adhesive baseplates will be affixed onto the dry erase board, and the board will be hung securely on the wall at a child appropriate height. Students will be allowed to build and create on the Lego wall after they have chosen their library books for the day.
