This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school is comprised of our city’s most talented young people, dedicated teachers and staff. We take great pride in the rigor of our curriculum, the quality of our instruction, and the performance of our students. Our students are serious scholars who constantly strive for success. Their determination ensures that they are the up-and-coming leaders of tomorrow.
To our students failure is not an option; it is just another obstacle waiting to be overcome.
They believe with hard work and perseverance anything is achievable. They are excited to be in school and look forward to each days encounters.
My students enjoy being challenged and love challenging their teachers. They not only question everything, they seek out and find the answers.
Our students, for lack of a better word, are exceptional. While our students are serious scholars they are very involved in all aspects of school. They belong to various clubs in the school, are involved in athletics, and tap into the creative minds through the arts. They are on their way to becoming well rounded and productive members of society.
My Project
The library at our school is an active learning center. We see on average 500 students a day. They come into the library for a variety of reasons; to study, compete homework assignments, apply for jobs and colleges, or just for a quiet place to be with their friends. Students will be able to access additional electronic resources with these laptops. Students will not be tied to a desk top and will have the ability to work anywhere in the library or in their classroom.
The addition of these laptops with a charge station will allow more students access to the electronic resources that my school subscribes to.
Lessons can be designed to incorporate additional technology into lessons.
