My Project

This project for display units and books will help provide accessible texts for learners in my fourth-grade classroom. Many of my learners are reading far below grade level and cannot independently read the texts in our classroom. Purchasing texts at their instructional level will allow many of my students to access the grade-level curriculum with texts at their reading levels.

Many of the books in the cart also show the diversity that my students crave in books.

All of my students are Oglala Lakota and love seeing other brown children in books. These books help embrace the idea that brown is beautiful and will help encourage my students make connections to to texts.
