Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I work with a great group of learners which include TK through fifth grade students. A large percentage of our students are eligible for free or reduced price lunch and are English Language Learners. My students are resilient, eager to learn, and benefit greatly from engaging, inclusive, and supportive learning environments tailored to their unique needs and strengths.
Flexible seating, teepee tents, puppets, a puppet theater, and a puppet stand in my classroom will create a more engaging, student-centered learning environment.
The flexible seating will encourage movement and comfort, leading to better focus and engagement. The teepee tents on a yoga mat will provide a cozy, quiet space for independent reading or calming down. The puppets will support language development and storytelling skills. The puppet theater and puppet stand will encourage creativity, imagination, and drama-based learning.
