Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
You can never have too many books in your library. Having a variety of books and different levels for holidays throughout the year allows students to learn about holidays, learn and use vocabulary associated with holidays all while incorporating literacy and overall learning.
Books such as the Jasper Rabbit book set, A Bad case of Tattle Tongue, How to Catch a Witch, and other holiday themed books will allow students to build background knowledge, develop their vocabulary for holidays, as well as target literacy and literature analysis skills used every day in school.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
