My Students
Our school has hard working students, involved parents, and dedicated teachers. But, we have no library. With your help we can change this!
The students at my school speak 36 different languages and come from six continents!
We have a large population of immigrant and refugee students. Over 85% of the students receive free or reduced lunch. Each day our students bring with them positivity and energy about the learning they will do that day.
My Project
Every school needs a library. While we are pressed on space, we have secured a cart, which will allow us to start a mobile library. Now we need books! Through your generosity students will be able to check out books each week and enjoy them at home. Because of parent schedules and decreased public library hours due to budget cuts, our students are not always able to go to their local library. Having a library in school will provide them with greater access to books, which will build their love of reading.

There is joy to be found in checking out a book you've never read before from the library and carrying it home to be read again and again. Please make this happen for all the wonderful students at my school!
