This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach a spirited bunch of sprightly sprats who are inquisitively enthusiastic learners, and many are not native speakers of English.

My students are energetic, eclectic, global young academics, who can be tough on the library books they love, so we need supplies to repair and maintain our library book collection.

Pre-existing lower-income and socio-economic demographics are considerably aggravated by language and cultural barriers. Nevertheless, students are eager to learn and divest themselves of previous woes. This funding opportunity will help supply some resources and bolster equitable access to education that connects them to a global community of learners free from linguistic barriers.

As a dedicated, library-oriented educator, I merely seek resources to support students in such a direction to diverse the learning process and opportunities.

My Project

Our students love to read the books that our library collection has, and enthusiastically discuss and encourage the exchange and circulation of our books.

However, students can be rough on books and these supplies will help us repair, reinforce, and maintain the collection of our library books so students can continue to enjoy them over time.

Without these supplies our books, and student reading habits, will be on the decline to the detriment of the student's lifelong readership. Your contributions and support are appreciated to help us maximize the books that we have.
