Library Book in Which We Can See Ourselves

Help me give my students a library with books that represent their unique backgrounds.

My Project

We just keep adding to our classroom library. Independent reading is a proven way to increase reading scores. Having a classroom library with high interest texts is so valuable to students. My students are so enthusiastic when it comes to independent reading because we have continually added high interest texts to our classroom library.

It is so important for kids to have books available to them in which they can learn about their history and culture They benefit from seeing themselves in the pages of the books they read.

When students can see themselves within a text, it motivates them. It becomes personal. It can help in creating lifelong readers.
