Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our students love to borrow books from our beautiful library, but taking care of those books and returning them in good condition can sometimes be a challenge. Often time books get misplaced at home or in the classroom despite best intentions. We don't want that to be a deterrante from students enjoying our library's books.
By giving our students a fun book bag that they can decorate and use during the year, we hope to support better habits around caring for their borrowed books.
Knowing that there is a special bag where library books should be kept will develop responsibility and having that bag personalized will hopefully make it a treasured item.
