Library Bins and Easel Learning!

My students need library bins to store all of our wonderful authors and book series as well as a new easel to use for whole group instruction as well as literacy centers.

My Students

These first graders are energetic, hard-working, determined students who love coming to school every day! The students live in a high poverty section of the city, and the majority of them receive free breakfast and lunch at school. We have a large population of ESL learners and are increasing our inclusion classroom settings each year.

These students are eager to learn, to explore, and to be challenged!

Our school is a small, close-knit community where our students are taught to believe in themselves and that anything is possible!

My Project

My students have a classroom library filled with various genres and series that they love to read! Our current book baskets are ripping and worn out due to years of student use and really need a makeover! These book baskets will provide a colorful, sturdy place to store our library books! The classroom easel will allow me to have a board that is both dry erase and magnetic to teach whole group lessons on the rug and for students to use on their own during literacy centers. The easel is on wheels for easy mobility around the room and has a shelf under to store any materials needed to use with the easel. The students will benefit from these wonderful additions to our classroom!
