Help me give my students a beautiful library! Part of my job as a librarian is to help foster a love and excitement for reading. That comes from making the library as inviting as possible with book displays!
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have a great group of students at my campus. Many of these diverse learners do not have access to books outside of our school library. My project is to help beautify our library to make it as inviting as possible with book displays so that more students find an interest in the library and come in to check out books, use our Makerspace area, and foster their love of reading.
I plan to use the book displays to help showcase new books in our library as well as promote books that have multiple copies so kids can check out a book with a friend.
The flyer stands will help students find books on the library shelves based on genre. My hope is to shelve my books dynamically to help those students that struggle with finding a good fit book, be more successful in book choices. I will also use the card holders as table numbers for makerspace table setup. Thank you for helping beautify our library!
