My 30 Library Assistants need personal flash drives to take information from one computer to another when helping other students and staff.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Lee's classroom raised $507

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We are an urban school trying to refocus and keep our middle school students' attention away from gangs and toward academia.
For the first time, the library has student Assistants who have ownership of the library, including advertising, organization and assisting staff and students. The aspiring Assistants completed a full application, took a test, and vowed to represent the library in all aspects of school. In return for excellent grades and behavior, they have a safe haven where they are in charge of a particular area, IE. biographies, 100 level books, 200 level books, fiction a-f and so on.
Library Assistants have learned how to use the on-line catalog, how to search the Internet and how to create research documents as part of their job: assisting others. By having individual flash drives, the Assistants will be able to create tutorials to share their knowledge with their peers in the library and in classrooms, too. The Assistants have shown their outstanding dedication to their calling by maintaining excellent grades and school wide behaviors in order to be known as Library Assistants!
Your donation of flash drives will give the Library Assistants a chance to have, for the first time, their own computer accessory to use while in school and at home (for those who do have home computers). You will have shown the 30 young people in grades 6 to 8 that someone is interested in their future!
