Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am a first-grade teacher teaching at a Title I elementary school. This will be my second year as a teacher.
Most of my students come from low-income communities or are students that just recently arrived in the country.
I would love to be able to provide a classroom environment where they will maximize their learning and be excited to come to school every day. They are the type of students that would be ecstatic to receive a bright new set of markers or crayons. They deserve the very best!
My Project
These books and iPads will allow students to read authentic Spanish books that will allow them to become independent readers. Students will have a variety of titles to choose from that will also match their different reading interest.
My students will be able to use the iPads in a listening to reading center where they will utilize Reading A-Z to have access to books at their individual reading level.
Students will be utilizing technology while reading and also enhancing their technology skills at the same time. I know these resources will help us grow even more and help us be the best scholars we are capable of being.
