My Project

Hi everyone! I’m the new librarian at my elementary school and I’m hoping to get a new rug for my new space. Our library, while decidedly not new, is old and beautiful with lots of natural light and is in dire need of a soft place for my students to land with a good book!

A warm and inviting library is key to building lifelong readers and I’m hoping with your help we’ll be one step closer to creating a space that truly fosters a love of reading!

A rug is where we come to listen, to discuss, to explore, to be brave when trying a challenging book, to lay our heads when the day is too much, and most importantly, a rug is where we come to gather. It’s the place where every single lesson begins and ends. Please help me give my students a new rug that will be a safe landing spot for them on their reading journey!
