Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students love video games. Many of them have consoles at home and use them daily. Video games give students problem-solving and critical thinking skills, and they are a great way to encourage collaboration and turn-taking. However, video games can also be valuable for encouraging future designers and engineers! I am fortunate to have Nintendo Switches for my classroom and students love using them!

Nintendo Labo Kits are add-ons to the Nintendo Switch system.

With Labo Kits, students can build three-dimensional controllers to be used in tandem with the Switch system. The specific Labo kit I am requesting allows students to build a car and drive it on the Switch!

Since we do not have many after-school club offerings for my school, it is my goal to start an eSports league to encourage students to socialize over something they love! I already have a growing interest in this club, and items like this will make the club even more popular.
