This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Slant boards will improve students' posture, enhance comfort while writing, and support better focus during lessons. By providing a more ergonomic writing position, these tools will help reduce strain and improve motor control, making it easier for students to engage in classroom activities. The slant boards will also benefit students who struggle with visual tracking, fine motor skills, or focus issues, allowing them to participate more effectively in lessons and improve their handwriting.
The goal of this project is to provide slant boards to students who need additional support in their learning environment.
By incorporating these tools, I aim to reduce discomfort and distractions, improve focus, and enhance the overall learning experience for all students. This project will help foster a more inclusive classroom where every student has access to the tools they need to succeed academically and feel confident in their abilities.
My students are diverse and have unique learning needs, ranging from physical and developmental challenges to varying levels of attention and focus. They each bring something special to the classroom, from creative problem-solving skills to perseverance in the face of challenges. Providing them with the right tools, like slant boards, allows them to feel more comfortable and supported in their learning journey, ensuring they can reach their full potential.
