Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students are ready to compete, grow, and shine! They just need a chance. At HSA GP, we’re launching our athletics program to give students more opportunities to thrive. As a Title I school, many of our students face economic hardships that limit access to extracurricular activities. They are hardworking, driven, and full of potential, and we want to provide them with meaningful athletic experiences.

This project will supply essential equipment and resources to bring our athletics program to life.

With your support, we can purchase the sports gear and training tools our students need to participate fully and safely. While we have a gym, we still need many essentials to support our teams.

Our program serves volleyball (boys and girls), competitive cheer, cross country, basketball (four teams), soccer (boys and girls), baseball, and softball. Equipment includes basketball hoops, volleyballs, soccer balls, footballs, and nets, plus catcher’s gear, helmets, bats, gloves, and scorebooks to keep teams game-ready. Training tools like agility ladders, resistance bands, compression shirts, traction boards, and foam rollers will enhance performance and recovery. Long sleeve compression shirts will support teams competing in cold weather. Hydration bottles, coolers, first aid kits, and megaphones will ensure safety and readiness. Ball carts, helmet bags, dugout organizers, and scrimmage vests will help manage gear efficiently. A Cricut Maker bundle and heat press machine will allow teams to design custom spirit wear and gear. A washer and dryer combo will ensure uniforms can be washed and stored at school, reducing the burden on families and keeping gear clean and accessible for all student-athletes.

All donated items will be stored at and used by HSA GP student-athletes only. Your donation will empower our students to grow, lead, and compete with pride on and off the field. Thank you!
