This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help me give my students gaming computers and accessories so they can compete in esports, collaborate with teammates, and run advanced computer science projects that current school equipment can't support.

Many of my students are deeply passionate about esports and computer science but face significant barriers when it comes to access to the technology they need to pursue these interests at a competitive and meaningful level.

This fundraiser will help equip our classroom and esports program with essential gaming and computing gear including powerful PCs, headsets, mice, mousepads, and keyboards.

For our esports team, this equipment is critical. Some students don’t have access to reliable internet or gaming systems at home, putting them at a disadvantage when it comes to practicing, competing, or even joining the team. By creating an on-campus space with the right tools, we can ensure that every student, regardless of their financial situation, can be a part of the team, build their skills, and experience the camaraderie and opportunities that come with organized competitive gaming.

For our computer science students, these upgraded systems will allow them to work on more complex and resource-intensive projects, such as game design, app development, 3D modeling, machine learning, and coding environments that go beyond what our current school computers can handle. This hands-on experience is essential for building both technical skills and confidence, and it prepares students for college programs and future careers in tech.

Your donation will directly impact students by giving them the tools they need to learn, grow, and succeed whether they’re building their first game, developing a competitive strategy with their teammates, or exploring the world of programming for the very first time.
