Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students love sitting in our classroom library and reading all the different stories I have. They get excited to read together and show me the books they choose to read each day.
After recent conversations with my students' families, it has become evident that not all my students have access to books at home and the students who do have books do not necessarily have books on their reading level that they can read independently.
I would love to be able to give my students books that they can take home each week to read independently at home and then bring them back to switch and get new books for the next week.
