My Students
Imagine being an 8 year old in a room filled with books that took you around the world? My students often express that the only time they have seen some animals are in books. The students I serve are loving and caring children that love to read and learn. My students favorite time of the day is DEAR time because they get to sit quietly and read silently. A new level library could take my students places they have never been because my students rarely get to travel outside of their neighborhood.
My Project
All students want a quiet comfy place to read. My students love to go to the carpet to read and write. We would love to have some bean bags so that the students are comfortable while having carpet time and getting lost in books. I have recently moved from grade 5 to grade 3 and building a new library is expensive and I want my scholars to have lots of book in as many genres as possible. Right now we have a small library with some books that I have purchased and some that was donated to our classroom by the former 3rd grade teacher.
